As it is still April, the May Apples in Frick Park are budding, but not yet in bloom. They always seem to wait. The interesting discovery was a patch of May Apple plants with what looks like a small leaf growing out of the middle of the top of the big leaf. There was a patch of five or so like this, but just this one patch, despite the park blanketed with May Apples everywhere.
